Narragansett Sailing and Boating School is looking to hire a few more instructors who love to share their knowledge and experience to others.
Basic Diesel, Boat Systems and Marine Electrical are three different, two day courses offered from October to April. They are all done in a classroom setting with many hands on activities to enhance the learning curve.
Our goal is to equip recreational sailors with the knowledge and basic skills, to help them troubleshoot issues that come up on their boat. And to know when to call in a professional and learn how to convey information in a way that can save them a lot of money.
The classes run for two days, 9-4 with an hour lunch. Teach one to three times a month, your choice. Pay is $450 a class and you’ll be 1099 at the end of the year.
You’ll use our tried and proven curriculum, although you need good working knowledge and experience in the course that you’re teaching. ABYC certified is great but not necessary.
We have students on waiting lists, so please contact Mary if you have any interest or questions.
