Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled 200-Ton Master Captain to operate an 82’ 12-Pack UPV yacht in the waters of Southeastern Alaska. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in maritime operations, with extensive local knowledge of hunting and fishing grounds around Ketchikan, Prince of Wales Island, and the broader Inside Passage. This role requires not only proven seamanship but also the ability to create safe, successful, and memorable experiences for passengers exploring Alaska’s rugged coastlines.
Key Responsibilities:
• Safely operate and navigate an 82’ UPV luxury charter yacht in compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations.
• Ensure the safety of passengers, crew, and vessel at all times.
• Plan and execute voyages with consideration of weather, tides, currents, and navigational hazards unique to SE Alaska.
• Provide guests with expert guidance on local hunting and fishing opportunities, including knowledge of seasonal species, game regulations, and traditional Alaskan practices.
• Maintain vessel logs, safety drills, and compliance records.
• Oversee crew operations, assigning duties and ensuring professional conduct.
• Perform routine vessel checks and coordinate with maintenance teams to keep the vessel in top condition.
• Serve as a professional representative of the company, ensuring positive guest experiences.
Qualifications:
• USCG 200-Ton Master License (Near Coastal or higher).
• Documented experience operating large vessels (70’–100’) in Southeastern Alaska waters.
• In-depth knowledge of local hunting and fishing practices, particularly around Ketchikan and Prince of Wales Island.
• Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to manage crew and interact with guests.
• Excellent navigational skills including familiarity with electronic and traditional charting.
• Able to pass drug screening and background check.
• STCW, First Aid/CPR, and other relevant certificate and endorsements.

• Adaptable to changing conditions and capable of operating in remote, rugged environments
